This policy describes the technologies actually used by the SmartWag storefront. It was updated on 19 July 2026.

1. Website operation

Strictly necessary cookies preserve the cart, secure the customer account and display an order confirmation. They are not used for advertising or campaign measurement.

  • wc-store-cart-token: WooCommerce cart, up to 47 hours.
  • smartwag-customer-session: customer account session, up to 30 days.
  • sw-order-confirmation: secure confirmation access, up to 1 hour.
  • smartwag-consent-v1: privacy choice stored locally for 6 months.

2. Anonymous audience measurement

SmartWag uses Vercel Web Analytics to produce aggregated statistics for usability and the purchase journey. This measurement uses no cookie, does not retain the IP address and does not allow SmartWag to reconstruct a named person’s journey.

URL parameters are removed before sending and order identifiers present in an address are redacted. Funnel events contain no name, email, address, payment data, engraving text or order number. They only indicate a step, a generic product or method and an aggregated amount.

This measurement is strictly limited to SmartWag and its improvement. Vercel acts as a processor and describes the service as aggregated measurement with no association to an individual or IP address.

3. Google Analytics and marketing

Google Analytics 4 and Google advertising features are blocked by default. They load only after a corresponding positive choice in the banner. Consent Mode v2 separately communicates choices for audience measurement, advertising storage, advertising user data and personalisation.

Refusing never restricts access to the catalogue, cart, checkout or account. Google events performed before permission are not queued for later transmission.

4. Your choice

You can accept all, reject all or choose Google measurement and marketing separately. Accepting and rejecting each require one click and are shown with equal prominence.

The Manage cookies link in every page footer lets you change or withdraw permission at any time. On withdrawal, Google signals immediately return to denied and Google cookies accessible to the site are deleted.

5. Controller and rights

SmartWag determines the purposes of these operations. You can use the Contact page to exercise your rights or ask a data question. This technical description should be reviewed with the other legal documents before the final production launch.
