Smart Wag offers you the Nova customisable leather halter, The padded noseband is embellished with crystal edges and, for your horse's comfort, has a padded, indented headpiece.
The Nova leather halter has been designed to ensure the comfort of your horse when in hand but also when tethered.
An adaptable halter
For greater adaptability and ease of use, the Nova leather halter has:
- Adjustable headrest on both sides.
- Adjustable noseband.
- A detachable throat latch (can be fitted on the left or right side) for easy removal of the halter.
The Nova custom halter is available in several colours of leather and buckles:
- Black leather, silver buckles.
- Brown leather, gold buckles.
A customisable halter
The Nova by Smart Wag leather halter can be personalised free of charge with a personalised plate matching the colour of the buckle.
You can add a special character or a breed logo to your engraving (contact us to send us the logo you require).

Important note: like any halter designed for your horse's safety, the Nova halter is not unbreakable. On the contrary, it is designed to break if too much tension is applied.

Below is a table of Smart Wag halter measurements. To be sure of your choice, we advise you to take your horse's measurements. In the event of a size error, your halter can be exchanged while stocks last.
Smart Wag maintenance tips :
For a new leather :
New leather riding gear still has all its natural moisture and does not need to be rehydrated with glycerine soap. You can, however, soften leather that is a little stiff before use with a leather balm or cream.
You can then leave to dry for a day in a temperate place in the shade.
For leather that has already been used:
Remove dust daily with a damp cloth.
You can clean your halter every 3 to 4 weeks with a mild glycerine soap (non-detergent composition) or lightly soaked in colourless leather cream. To ensure the longevity of your leather, we recommend that you store your leather halter in its Smart Wag cotton pouch, in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Condition of product on receipt : the brass of the buckles can react to humidity. In some cases, this can lead to the buckles arriving slightly greyed. Maintenance with a Miror© type product will restore their shine in just a few seconds. The leather used for the padding has a shape memory. It may arrive slightly deformed but will take on its correct shape on a suitable support (rounded).
