Smart Wag offers you a soft leather halter for an elegant and comfortable leather halter. The cowhide leather is lined and padded on the headpiece for added comfort.
The Pinky leather halter has been designed to ensure the comfort of your horse when in hand but also when tethered.

For a new leather :
New leather riding gear still has all its natural moisture and does not need to be rehydrated with glycerine soap. On the contrary, this cleaning product could alter the colour of leathers with a natural finish (aniline), particularly brown or tan leathers. But new leather is naturally dry and stiff, and needs to be softened before it is used for the first time. You can apply a colourless leather oil to the back and top of the leather with a clean cloth. The oil will penetrate to the heart of the leather to soften it. You can then leave to dry for a day in a temperate place in the shade.
For leather that has already been used: Remove dust daily with a damp cloth. You can clean your halter every 2 to 3 weeks with a mild glycerine soap (non-detergent composition).
